How to Set Up Encryption in Webmail

**note, these instructions may vary slightly between Edge and Chrome**

 

1. Click on Settings for your Webmail

2.Click on ‘View all Outlook Settings’

3. Click on S/Mime in the left menu, then click on ‘Click Here’ next to ‘To Install It’

Once complete, click Show in Folder

Double click file to install it

You will see this instead in Edge at the S/MIME settings window:

Click on the Extensions Link then Manage Extensions

Under the Microsoft S/MIME, click ‘Details’

Click ‘Extension options’

Click the box “Other work or school website domains.” And add webmail.apps.mil, click Save

Close ALL browser windows and relaunch

 

Whichever browser you use, after you’ve closed all browser windows, go back to your Webmail Settings and verify that it says, “This computer has the most recent version of S/MIME”.
