Adding a Watermark:
- Open the PDF: Open the PDF document in Adobe Acrobat.
- Access the Edit PDF Tool:
- In the right-hand pane, click on "Edit PDF." (If you don't see this, try going to "Tools" and searching for "Edit PDF" and adding it to your shortcuts).
Navigate to the Watermark Option:
- In the "Edit PDF" toolbar that appears at the top, click on "Watermark" and then select "Add..."
The "Add Watermark" Dialog Box: This is where you configure your watermark:
- Source:
- File: Choose this to use an image as a watermark (e.g., a logo).
- File: Click "Browse" to select the image file you want to use. Supported formats include PDF, JPG, PNG, GIF, and more.
- Scale Relative to Target Page: Set to 100% for fingerprint form. Specifies the size of the watermark relative to the PDF page dimensions.
- Page Range Options:
- Leave as is - no need to edit for Fingerprints
- Appearance:
- Position: Leave as is.
- Rotation: Leave as is.
- Opacity: Leave as is.
- Scale: Set to 100% for fingerprint form.
- Appearance Options:
- Show When Printing: Uncheck this box. Determines whether the watermark is printed.
- Show When Displaying on Screen: Leave as is. Determines whether the watermark is visible on screen.
- Save Settings:
- Click "Save Settings..." to save your watermark configuration as a named preset. This is useful if you need to apply the same watermark to multiple documents.
Apply the Watermark: Click "OK" to apply the watermark to the document.
Save the PDF: Save the modified PDF document.
